I am looking for a solution for my users to print my applets (as they appear on the Web page) on the fly or to give them a "printer friendly version" option. Does anyone have an answer?

Is this like printing the HTML page with a graphic produced by the applet in it or something?

I want the user to have the option to print the Web page as it rendered with the applet either with the browser's file==>print option, or switch to a printable version via a button or link, or save as a .pdf or whatever will work on the fly. As it is now, neither Netscape nor IE will print the page correctly as it is viewed in the browser. I do not want the user to go through the PrtScn==>paste==>print routine. So if it means converting the page to some image format on the fly or some other zero or one-step routine--that's what I need.
Thanks

I think you've covered most of the bases. I was working on a project a while back where, when using Swing, I got complaints from something that led me to believe that I could make the applet area printable if I just did a little more work.
Unfortunately, the project - and my job - got killed before it became time to investigate it.
