Hi Ritesh -

The book you have is meant specifically for the SCJP 1.4 exam.

The new book, the one we're just about done with is for the SCJP 5 (Tiger) exam.

Welcome to JavaRanch Ritesh. If you have
this K & B book then it is ideal for SCJP 1.4.

Tiger is the name Sun gave to the Java 5.0 before it was officially released.

The new edition of the K & B book (to be published in October/November) is for SCJP 5.0. The differences are significant it has some original chapters rewritten and new chapters for the SCJP 5.0 material.
