FYI, all applets are web-based, otherwise they would be called 'Applications'. Anyway, applets can query a database using JDBC in several ways. One of the common practices is : Applet ----> Servlet ---JDBC--> DB There are several books and articles explain this mechanism with good examples. Sabbir
