Hi Friends,
I am planning to buy the Whizlabs SCJP 5.0 simulator. But before that I wanted to know that how many people are using it for preperation. Also if it is worth buying, because I think only 3-4 mock are not sufficient for Success.
Anyways I just wanted to know that is it really good and only those who have used it can tell me if it is helpful in passing the exam.

Hi Sandeep!

I have whizlabs 5.0 for SCJP. I have used it for a couple weeks now, and its great. There are actually 6 full exams included, as well as a 150 question quiz on some fundamental concepts. I love it, it has been great! I had read the only book out on 5.0 preparation, and it was not enough. I barely missed passing my first mock from whizlabs . That one let me know what I needed to focus on that other sources had not prepared me for, so I studied for another week after that. I have passed all of the other exams that I took, as well as the quiz. I just finished the last one last night - you learn something new from each one.

When are you planning to sit for the test? I'll probably be able to let you know more on friday, I am planning on taking the test on that day. It's a call ahead center, so if I am feeling unprepared I don't necessarily have to - but I think that I will. The most frustrating thing about the 5.0 test is the relative scarcity of information with regards to it. With each whizlabs exam that I took, there was something new on it that I hadn't realized we would be expected to know. And who knows, we may not be! In any case, I should be able to give a more accurate report of how whizlabs prepares for the real thing shortly.

One warning on whizlabs - be sure to check your answers carefully. I would say, on average, it scored 3 to 4 per test that I actually got right as wrong. Check your answers against their answers and explanations very carefully.

Good luck to you!
