Assertions can be selectively enable for the unnamed package in the current working directory.

I am not able to understand this statement. What is meant by unnamed package in the current working directory? can anyone explain with example? Thanks.

Hi,

This means that you can enable assertions for a java class not contained in any package location in your working directory. That is a java program that has no package statement defined meaning the program is located in your current working directory.
