Please help for scjp 1.4.

i am going to take scjp 1.4 exam. After reading the guidance of sun, i know the exam won't include AWT and IO parts. However, i heard from my friend, the exam will have 2 or 3 questions outside the guide line. does anybody know what the area is of these 2 or 3 questions? Should i work hard to know deeply of AWT and IO?

The exam objectives can be found here. Sun will not ask you any questions that don't pertain to those topics. So no need to study AWT, because it's simply not on this exam. Of course, that doesn't mean that knowing AWT will hurt, it's just not on the exam.

No, the exam will not deviate from the objectives. The review portion of writing the exam makes sure that it doesn't include questions outside of the scope of the objectives.

Now it is possible a code snippet will use a Java API class that isn't directly specified in the objectives, but those are where that particular line does not affect you ability to get the answer correct.

But no IO or AWT.
