Why i's value is printed as 10 instead of 11 at line4?
But, i's value is printed as 11 if different variable is used?

      System.out. println ( "line 2.1 i= "+i ); // line 2.1 (Prints 10)

  }
}
 
class SameVariableIncrement2{

      int j=0, i = 10 ; // line 1
      i = i++ ; // line 2
      System.out. println ("line 2.1 i= "+ i ); // line 2.1 (Prints 10)
      j = i++ ; // line 3   //Using different vairable increments value of i
      System.out. println ("line 4   j= "+ j ); // line 4 (Prints 10)
      System.out. println ( "line 5   i= "+i +" -Using different vairable increments value of i"); // line 5 (Prints 11)

Did you search the forum before posting...you would have already got the answer
anyways look at this :i=i++

Read this to the last post for better understanding.
