You can read feedback from people who have taken the real exam in the dedicated results forum. There are some useful comments to help with your study.

I failed the exam today Got 58%, so it was close..

I have been reading a lot, but find it difficult without a good book.

The generics part is the most difficult, I got a lot of drag and drop questions for this topic, and you really need to know your stuff on these questions.

There where also 3 questions of classpath and jar files, one in Unix environment.

I'm sorry for you Sara. I hope you will be more lucky next time.

I want two ask you one question:

About time, is it enough? You have to be fast?

And about the question in general, I have been looking at the Sun Certification Forum and there are very few SCJP5 people. There are only few people going for SCJP5 or a lot of people don't pass the exam?

Cheers,

The time is enough! I finished the question about 30 minutes before, and had time to review some questions, but the drag and drop questions take a lot of time, and it is not possible to review them later.

I think most people still do the 1.4 exam, because many still use this in their companies, and I think there must be a lot of people fail the 5.0 exam as well, cause it is hard...

Here is a link from Khalid Mugal talk at JavaZone:
Cracking the new SCJP 5.0 exam
On the last slide it says:
Good luck, you need it, it's not a joke.

And another about generics, also from Khalid Mugals talk at Javazone last year: Generics

I would suggest to use a lot of time on Genrics!!
