Hey All,

I am giving SCJP this month end. My friend, who is an SCJP, compiled this doc, which'll give an idea about the mock exams. I am not sure how useful this might be, but i wanted to share this with you all. (Since there is no option to upload an attachment, am pasting the contents of the doc here)

<doc contents>

SCJP STUDY GUIDE

EXAMINATION STUDY MATERIAL :

TITLE

SUN CERTIFIED PROGRAMMER & DEVELOPER FOR JAVA 2, EXAM STUDY GUIDE (EXAMS 310-035 & 310-027).

AUTHOR

Kathy Sierra and Bert Bates.

PREPARATION TIME :

One and a half months.

SCHEDULE :

Finish off the certification book in 7 to 10 days. Daily 1 to 1.5 hours allocation will be more than enough to complete the entire book in 10days.

Do not take the self test that will be given at the end of the chapters as the Master Exam that comes along with this book has questions taken from these self tests.

The two minute drill will help you to brush through the important concepts before examination day.

Now, you will be ready to take up the mock exams.

MOCK EXAM LIST

1. VOODOO Exam Simulator: (Downloadable)

http://www.geocities.com/gnashes30/java/mock.htm

This has a nice set of mock exams to begin with. All the questions in this covers the exam objectives and gives you the initial feeling of the examination questions. Do review the questions that went wrong. This will really help in the next mock exam.

There will be around 5 to 6 small length exams in this simulator. There will be no full length exam in this simulator.

www.jiris.com

This website contains a comprehensive set of 3 mock exams that can be taken after registering in that site. These mock exams are for SCJP1.2.So, there will be questions that will not be related to the SCJP1.4 objectives. Make use of these 3 mock exams and treat it as a learning from mistakes kind of an experience. Do not worry about the percentage that you get in these exams, because you will take it again at the end.

The above 2 mock exams provide a wide range of questions that will help you in understanding the fundamental concepts of JAVA programming.

3. JAVA Ranch Rules Round Up Game: (Login not required)

4. JAVA Certificate: (Needs a Login)

www.javacertificate.com (SCJP 1.4)

This is a very good site that has a single comprehensive mock exam with questions equivalent exam difficulty level. The score that you get in this mock exam will be somewhat closer to the final exam result.

can anyone tell me what are the additional topics in scjp 5 when compared to scjp 1.4. I heard that scjp 5 is tougher than scjp 1.4 .i am planning to take scjp 1.4 because all the new topics of 5 are not availabe under one roof. Can anyone tell me where to get them at one place?

thank you
regards,
