Making inner class static

Hi All,

Can anybody tell me, what is the effect of making an inner class static in terms of accessibility from outside and also from inside of that inner class?

i can tell you two effects -

1) if you want to create an instance of the static innner class then
use this sysntax - new MyOuter.MyInner();

thus in effect, a satic inner class is just a nested top level class
with a modified naming scheme

2) a static inner class cannot access nonstatic members of the enclosing
class
