about 3.6?

Just kidding.

The SCJP 5.0 covers a lot of the new features in Java 5, while still asking the core Java questions. The SCJP 5.0 exam is also a bit more difficult in that the exam is more performance based than knowledge based. The newer exam requires that you really understand the concepts as ooposed to memorizing the concepts.

There are a few threads already posted that give a more detail objective by objective specific differences.
