I took scjp 5.0 today. what could I say?
I would tell you I found the questions in real exam are very similar to K&B book for scjp 5.0 (not 1.4).

I think the K&B book is the best.

How about others?
I couldn't say anything. But I should and would tell you I scored very high marks on Somebody's so called mock exams for scjp 5.0

I will take the exam tomorrow..
I did not score high at mock exams so this will be a close one..
If I don't make it I will order the book everybody is talking about here and I will try again in a month or so...

Any advice for me?

Hi Zhou ,

Congratulations for you !

Could you please post here the links for free SCJP 5 mock exams you took before the real one ?

Many links posted here aim only for SCJP 1.4, so as I and many others Java Ranchers are aiming for SCJP 5, I think it would be higly appreciated if you could post here links for free SCJP5 Mock Exams.

Thanks in Advance.

To be honest with you, I took two kind of mock test for scjp 5.0, I think the one from Bert Bates's new book for scjp 5.0 is very similar to the real exam. the other one is not so close to the real exam questons, but is good to learn JAVA.

What I can say to is if you buy the book written by Bert Bates and read it carefully. You'll pass it very easily.

I won't introduce any other books or mock exam to you since I firmly think Bert Bate's book is the best.

I also think MasterExam for scjp 5.0 could be designed by Bert Bates. If you have extra money, go and buy MasterExam for scjp 5.0. I think this could be a good idea.

That's all I can tell you. Sorry for not providing the links you wanted.

Hi Zhou,

How did you find the drag and drop type of questions?
Were they easy or tough?

Regards,
Hamid

Well my SCJP v5 book just arrived today, after waiting for it from amazon for over a month, so its time to get stuck in. Hardest thing I find is fighting the temptation to skip over parts I think I understand then when it comes to mock testing realise its the finicky little details I dont know, that I should know to pass...

To Hamid Virani,

The drag and drop questions are not more difficult than others.

To all who want to pass the exam scjp 5.0

K&B scjp 5.0 is best and only one book you need to pass the exam, trust me.
If you are comfortable with the questions in the book and on the CD, you'll pass it, otherwise take more time to read the K&B book for scjp 5.0, please.

You can buy this book from many online bookstore, just google it.

Hei,
my first time here and I am wondering about this K&B book.
Can you give me a hint which book it is. Couldn't figure out.
I tried the exam today and failed with 55%. I am not shure what happened, since I had a good feeling when I finished. I thought I had passed with good margin. Not easy to figure out, what happened, since you can't see where things went wrong.
