First I bought the "Complete Java 2 Certification Study Guide, 5th Edition" and the Sun "Certified Programmer & Developer for Java 2 Study Guide (Exam 310-035 & 310-027)".

I was thinking that that was enough for me to go take the exam. But no, I failed after read these 2 books.Sorry but I can't say something positive about Phillip Heller's Book, for me it was just a 310-035 book with some information about 055, something made fast to be the first one to release a 310-055 book.

So after my first fail. I bought Whizlab SCJP 5. That was really hard, sometime, you can see some mistake in whizlab but it's was helpful. Question are so hard that when you go make you exam, you are ready!

Practice is the best way to learn!

Hey Jonathon,

Congrats!

I want to clarify something:

Sun "Certified Programmer & Developer for Java 2 Study Guide (Exam 310-035 & 310-027)".

That's the K&B book for the 1.4 exam, so are you saying that the first time you studied for the 1.5 exam you were using the 1.4 K&B book?

Thanks,

Bert

I took 1 month .

Exact! The only book for SCJP 5.0 was the phillip's hellers one. So I also used K&B 1.4 to study.

Good luck to each of you with this exam!
