Hi There,
I have a signed applet, signed by Signtool using a test certificate generated from the same. On verifying the signed jar using the signed tool, the verfification passes.
Now on using the applet in the browser(NS 6) the console gives the following exception
java.lang.SecurityException: cannot verify signature block file META-INF/ZIGBERT
at sun.security.util.SignatureFileVerifier.process(Unknown Source)
at java.util.jar.JarVerifier.processEntry(Unknown Source)
I am testing in the browser from the same machine where I generated and signed the applet. Also I have NS 4.7 and NS 6.2 in the same machine. Will that be a problem. The certificate database is in folder
"C:\Program Files\Netscape\Users\default"
but there is one more folder
"C:\Program Files\Netscape\Netscape 6"
under this folder there is no certificate database.
Where does the NS 6 refer for certificates
Hoping for a reply at an earliest
Thanks,
Mohamed Zafer

Hi,
I am also facing the same problem now. I have generated the TestCert in a different machine and imported the TestCert into the machine where I am testing now. EVen then also I am facing the same problem. Please let me know if you have found a solution for this.
Thanks and Regards
Murali
