I have an applet with a panel at the bottom of it and am using an Image to draw my graphics. The problem is that if I minimise the browser and then maximise it the panel shows the contents of the desktop, or any window that was on top (it's almost as if it's transparent). I can't see any reason for this apart from that maybe I'm using drawImage to place data over the panel aswell but this doesn't seem to be making any difference. Sorry I can't be more specific than that but it's driving me crazy. Can anyone help?
Just found out that this is bug in 1.4 beta 3 which they probably know about.

I don't know if this hack will work, but if you have time on your hands and no other solution: override start(), and call repaint() in its method body. start() gets called when the browser is de-iconified, and maybe this nudge will help.
