calling of javascript function from applet

hi guys,
my question is that can we call javascript function and pass a value from applet.if yes,how.i mean we will have to use some special tag between applet tag or some other way.

Yes, you can pass a param.
Use the call method of JSObject.
Be sure your javascript accepts a param and you include the MAYSCRIPT attribute in you applet tag.

Where is the JSObject? How to get the package including JSObject?
Could it be used in IE?
