Hello there
I have a simple applet that contains one jclass component...a currency spinner. that's a box that spins money when an arrow is pressed up up up and down down down.... anyway when i load it from html page after running the handy dandy convertor i get the error below..........
The converter did what it was supposed to bcuz I saw the box pop when the page was trying to load.
This is how I am calling the applet b4 the converter gets it.
<APPLET
codebase = "."
archive = "jClass.jar"
CODE = "jclass.jTest"
name = "jtest"
WIDTH = 580
HEIGHT = 404
>
</applet>
All of the files are in the same dir

Hi Rich,
Are you sure that you included all the associated files that the JClass spinner requires into your jar file?
Regards,
Manfred.

HI
Thanks for reply.
I am using jbuilder for an ide and i created the jar file for applets using their wizard. One of the opions on the panel was to include all necessary files in the jar file, I'm sure i checked that when creating the jar file.
I'v also looked in the jar file and it does contain the correct class.
Is there anything else i can check?

Hi Rich,
I have had problems with IDEs that were supposedly placing required components into jar files not including files required by those components and so on. I use IBM Visual Age and it is notorious for not placing all required components (all the way up the heirarchy) into the resulting jar file.
Therefore, I would make an extra jar file for the Sitraka stuff and then download your own jar file for your class and resources. If that works you can then start to weed out some classes in the Sitraka jar that you think you don't need. A single Sitraka class usually requires about 50+ supporting classes as well ...
Regards,
Manfred.

Hello
Thanks for answering back Manfred.
I have included all files in the packages I am using and this is the error I am getting.

at sun.applet.AppletPanel.run(Unknown Source)
at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source)
When I search for these errors I have read that there is nothing I can do about them. I don't think that that is correct though.
Anyone know what i'm doing wrong? Or what I can do to make it work?
