Two Applet Context = how Many JVM ?

Hi
I just wanted to know that if i open two browsers & execute an applet on both the browsers on a single PC how many instance of JVM will be executing.....
options
1. Only single JVM for both the Applets which r running on different Browsers
2. Two JVM ie ONE JVM for one browser
