i want to load .tiff image into an applet
the code given in java2 complete reference is as follows
* <applet code="SimpleImageLoad" width=248 heigh=146>
* <param name="img" value="scenary.jpg">
import java.applet.*;
import java.awt.*;
public class SimpleImageLoad extends Applet
Image img;
public void init()
img = getImage(getDocumentBase(),getParameter("img"));
public void paint(Graphics g)
g.drawImage(img, 0,0,478,298,this);

but this code is working for .jpg and .gif images but not functioning for .tiff images, can any help as how to load .tiff file into applet.
