Hello all, i have a very weird situation. I have a programer in france that is creating a downloadable C++ program oncw run it stores its information in cookie. Now i need to use a Swing Applet to read the cookie and diplay the information. I've already looked at the javascript route and wasn't too impressed. Is there a way to do it in java with a Swing Applet? If you have any reading or snippets you can post it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Brian,
What if you could use JavaScript directly in the Applet? There is a netscape class named netscape.javascript.JSObject. If you have IE on your machine you should have a file named classes.zip that contains that class. With Netscape it should be something like javaXX.jar where XX is the version. You can find an example here: Applet Cookie Example.
Hope this helps,
Michael Morris
