Applet stop method execution terminated

+Pie Number of slices to send: Send
Hi,
I am having an applet with threads and socket. in the stop method I am doing some cleanup work. If I did refresh (IE refresh button) when the page getting painted then the applet hung. I put System.out.print messages in the stop method. I found part of the stop method not get executed fully when applet hung occured. The destroy method also not get called at that time.
Is it a Java Bug or a Browser Bug. This problem is still there even with the JRE 1.4.1. Kindly reply ASAP.

Well both are dprecated. set it to null to kill it.
and wait to pause it
stop and kill and those are deprecated
Try 100 things. 2 will work out, but you will never know in advance which 2. This tiny ad might be one:
