Using the Java Console in IE6

I am writing some applets using J2SDK 1.4 and IE6.
I activated the Java Console in IE6, but my System.out.println() message do not show up. They always used to. I always relied on these for debugging. Is there something else I have to activate?

hi mark,
as suggested appletviewer is an option but i'd interested whats goin on here.
u've the Sun Java console right under "Tools"? earlier MS VM was showing up in "View" even if u had the sun VM running I believe but now it shows up in "Tools" as "Sun Java Console" and it works great...
do u see same option in ur browser?
