I have code within my HTML as follows:

This works fine and has done so for many years.
But when I change the servername (moonstone) to a website name (myWeb) (which is resolved by WINS/DNS) it fails giving:

I know the resolution through DNS works as I can type http://myWeb/classes/Alert_Sound.wav and the sound plays.
Any ideas?

The class isnt reachable and if your loading a file it has to be loaded through a url file object. locate the class first

I know the class location is http://myWeb/classes/AlertTickerApplet.class and if I can proove it is there as when I type this URL in IE tries to do something with it. Could it be something to do with the way the class is loaded?

the html or jsp page that calls this either has to be in the same path or reachable. If its not in the same folder I believe codeBase is the attribute to describe where it is
