hi!
i m building a chat tool using java and applets.
a user list is displayed to the user , i want that clicking on a name leads the user to a chat window.
this can be done using showDocument() but the problem is that i want the user name to be sent and displayed on the new applet.
plz suggest me a way out!!

You might be curious to take a look at Tony Alicea's Java Page, which includes an example of inter applet communication.
