How to set the objects into the applets???

Hi,
i wonder how to set the objects into the applets??
like for eg.. the objects below:
javax.swing.JPanel[null.contentPane,0,0,600x500,invalid,layout=javax.swing.JRootPane$1,alignmentX=null,alignmentY=null,border=,flags=9,maximumSize=,minimumSize=,preferredSize=]
how do i use this object and set it into the applets by reading this objects??

For a question that basic, I think you need to get a good book on Swing. However, I should note that also that Swing isn't supported by Netscape or IE unless you have each user download and install a fairly large (5MB) plug-in. Applets are GUI containers and can support containing both AWT and Swing objects (though you should choose either one or the other.)
