Hello, I have an applet that makes a connection via RMI to orbd (naming service)when a button is pressed. It works fine when I view it through IE from my file system. But when I publish this page on apache I get the following error "Trouble: javax.naming.CommunicationException: Cannot connect to ORB [Root exception is org.omg.CORBA.COMM_FAILURE: vmcid: SUN minor code: 201 completed: No] javax.naming.CommunicationException: Cannot connect to ORB [Root exception is org.omg.CORBA.COMM_FAILURE: vmcid: SUN minor code: 201 completed: No] at com.sun.jndi.cosnaming.CNCtx.setOrbAndRootContext(Unknown Source)"
"Crazzy Block" Welcome to the JavaRanch. We don't have many rules around here, but we do like to pretend like we're a bunch of urbane professionals, so we'd appreciate if you'd change your display name to conform to our Naming Rules. We'd appreciate it. Thanks! BTW, are you sure you're not being blocked by the Java Sandbox?
"privilege" comes from the Latin words for "private" and "law" (legal) and dates to feudal times. To "claim privilege" meant that you were above the laws that applied to the common people.
