Applet in Netscape 7.1

Hi,
I have an applet that contains, among other GUI components, a message box(a TextArea object, with Vertical Scroll bars). The problem is that when the applet is loaded in Netscape Navigation V7.1, as soon as the user starts typing in this message box, the mouse cursor disappears. If the user moves the mouse, the cursor appears again. If any body can give me a clue about what to look for, I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Many GUI interfaces behave this way by default; apparently this is standard behavior for the JVM in Netscape 7.1, whatever it is. I don't think this is something you can control from Java -- you're presumably using AWT which uses the platform's native widgets.

Yes, I am using AWT. Thanks for your response.
