how can i download automatically some objects from server to client.

i have a simple question.i have a start.htm file at the server end in c:/mihir/ directory. this start.htm is supposed to call an applet.this signed applet is also in the same directory.the mapping of this folder is done in the server.xml file of tomcat.so wat i want is when i call this start.htm from the client's machine then there are a couple of objects at the server end in the same folder which i want to download on client's machine automatically once i load the start.htm from the url http://localhost:8080/mihir/start.htm.the objects that i need to get downloaded on the client's machine are in the same folder as start.htm.so is there any way that i can download those objects automatically on the client's machine the moment i call the page start.htm from the client's machine.please guide me accordingly.when i say http://localhost:8080/mihir it does show me the directory listing of c:/mihir/ folder indicating that the folder is available to the tomcat.
one thing i would like t oadd that if i have the start.htm and the other objects on the client side and then run the start.htm then it works but i want the entire stuff to be on the server side and then get the objects from there.
