Hello Friends,
I have implemented the following line in my chat application, 'ac.play()' where ac is an instance of AudioClip. Sometimes it's working fine, but sometimes destroy() method of an applet is called automatically, eventhough I have not closed the browser's window. Iam not able to trace this uneven behaviour eventhough I have embedded, 'ac.play()' stmt. in a try - catch block. Finally in javaconsole window of IE, 'no audio device' is displayed. Can any one help me how to overcome this strange behavior of AudioClip.play() method.

Regards,
Ch.Praveen Kumar.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
