adding a value type to registry

I looked all over Google but couldn't find a workable solution, so maybe someone here will know.
Basically what I'm trying to do is attach a value type to a registry key which gets added from an

But I'm not sure how to add a value type (i.e.
, Binary, DWORD)
I know it's possible because when I decompile one of the class files within the imported package, it has
