Hi Karthik,

buy K&B Head First Java and go through it. this site has many useful resources like articles, the very useful discussion forum in which we are using right now and has pointers to many mock tests.

once you put enough of your effort and time to put into all these, clearing SCJP 1.5 will be a piece of cake to you.

many thanks and all the best
chaitanya

Hi Karthik,

Check this out.

http://faq.javaranch.com/view?ScjpFaq

A big question is whether to take SCJP 1.4 or SCJP 1.5. Both tests are available, but are very different.

The Sierra & Bates books are very useful, as they talk a lot about the test itself.

The Sierra and Bates "Head first Java" is a very, very good book, but it is for programmers who are new to Java programming. To study for the JDK 1.5 exam you should be looking at their other book which you can read about at Amazon.com at
