I have just had XP installed.... don't know what type of XP...... every time I try to play to fun FREE games on MSN... They won't load and I see that "noinited" message. I don't understand your solutions, I don't understand Java or Java Sun..... is there anyone out there who can give me a SIMPLE fix ? Help

Hello,

I never had this problem before but I think I might be able to help.
I did a search on the internet about this. It seems that others also had
similar problems. Since you are a "newbie". I suggest that you go to:
http://java.sun.com/products/plugin/

and download the plug-in for Windows XP.

Also enable your Java Console:
In Internet Explorer (IE), go to:
Tools
Internet Options
Advanced
Select Enable Java Console checkbox.

Then reboot your machine and try again.

Enclosed is the email from the internet involving this problem. You can do
a similar search on IE for more information.

Hi barbara,
Just got it fixed. The plugin was not installed properly. I
thought the Jre JDK cam with was enough. But I installed The JRe exclusively
for this.

Thanks Santosh

Hi Santosh:

I don't know why you are getting this problem, but maybe more information
will help me. What version of the Java Plug-in have you installed on your
Windows box? Also, please make sure the Java Console is visible when you
try to start the applet and send me all of the output from that.

Thanks,

Barbara

Thanks so much for the reply. I have Java installed (not by me). I have NO CLUE as to how to download the plug-in for Windows XP because it's just not straight forward (to me). The Java (TM) Runtime Environment thing, is already loaded and there doesn't seem to be anything that specifically says "Plug-in for Windows XP (yes, it DOES have to be that simplistic - I am a DUH in computers). I went into Internet Explorer to enable the Java Console.... but there is absolutely nothing that says "Enable Java Console"... That being said, the Java Console DOES pop-up when I load Bespelled and it has a long message... from what I can understand it is preventing the loading of this game..... Somewhere in the game instructions (there is a section there that says click here if the game doesn't load)... it says that Bespelled is not compatable with Java Sun and I should turn it off .... I CAN'T STAND THIS !! I just want to play that simplistic game......... HELP PLEASE (screaming here) Helen

I apologize if this is a day late/dollar short or not relevant. The game is produced by PopCap and is available under a different name (Bookworm) on their site. My Windows XP running FireFox did not work on the MSN site but worked great on the PopCap site. I'm a little gun-shy when it comes to Internet Explorer(IE) as so many people I know have had malicious content installed on their computers while surfing with IE. Hope this helps. Bookworm
