Hi,

Thanks a lot for the start. I am trying to determine the length of a song (duration) because I need to play only 10% of the track. Any suggestions as to how this can be done?

Thanks a lot.

If it can be done, you'd use the Java Media Framework to do it. Working with the JMF is non-trivial. I'd suggest using a sound file utility to trim the music clips to size, like how you make thumbnails for large images on a web page.
