HI ,

I am writing a chat applet which creates a JTree to display the logged in users. I want to know whether is possible to lauch a JFrame (in a separate window) when the logged in user clicks on another users name in the JTree to start chatting. I have a selection listener already . (Just like the window that pop up in yahoo/msn/or any other commercial messenger)
Thanks,
G.

Yes, you can launch a JFrame.
