Is the K&B master-exam for SCJP 1.4(that comes with the book) same in difficulty level as the real exam?I failed the master exam.I got 79%.My speed is very less.I couldn't attempt last 7 questions.I am taking a lot of time in calculations using shift operator, calculation of variable values that are in loops and in double checking my solution to each question.
Is there any technique/approach i can follow to increase my speed?I am really worried.I have 6 more days for the real exam. Please help.

Hi Saumya,

Well I can tell you this thing for sure that passing percentage for 1.4 exam is 52% and as per your post you got 79% which is to me is pretty good score. But yes you do have to do some time management and with the drag and drop question in the main exam things might get little more worse. I don't know whether you'll like this idea or not but you might try attempting the long questions after you are through with the straight and easy questions and don't worry you'll come out with flying colors.

Good Luck

Hi,

before you actually start go through the code check if there is compile time and run time exception occur in the code. somtime just to trick you they give more complex logic code with obvious compilation error.

Thanks,
Ram

Hello "nirumagics"-

Welcome to JavaRanch.

On your way in you may have missed that we have a JavaRanch Naming Policy for displayed (screen) names. Your displayed name must consist of a first name (or an initial), a space, and a family name (in that order) and not be obviously fictitious. Since yours, "nirumagics", does not conform with it, please take a moment to change it, which you can do right here.

Posters with nonconforming displayed names will be locked out of JavaRanch after a few posts using those names.

Thanks
-Barry
