Using applet to print

Dear all,

I have an applet that is for printing. It takes the text area words and send it to printer. When i click print it display "An applet would like to print. Is this OK" . Then I click yes and nothing happens. The print dialog box also didnt pop up. Is this because applet cannot perform printing?
