difference between IE6.X Vs mozilla firefox

what is the major differences between "IE6.X Vs mozilla firefox".
is all the java related functions supports both IE6.X and mozilla firefox.

Neither IE6 nor Firefox has any support for Java whatsoever. Java applets are supported via the Java Plugin from Sun. There will be no difference at all with regards to different browsers.

I'm going to move this to our "Applets" forum; it's sort-of on topic there.

Note that there's currently a bug in the Mac OS X version of Mozilla (Firefox) that causes it to use JRE 1.3.1 even if a later JRE is installed...

I think this is isolated to Macs, but you can check for Mozilla plugin issues on other operating systems here...
