Hi

I have an applet which reads a data from a servlet using http tunnelling and java serialization. Applet is a part of a page which can be viewed by IE and Mozilla.

I'd like to put the applet on secured server. The page will be accessed using HTTPS then.

I'd like to know if it's necessary to change the code of the applet or will it be handled by the browser.

You don't mention how the applet accesses the servlet, maybe HttpUrlConnection? You could use HttpsUrlConnection instead, if you can require Java 1.4, or use the Jakarta HttpClient library instead.
