lanuch web browser in applet

what is a good to lanuch web browser ? I have an java applet which has one button. When button is clicked, I want to lanuch web browser and go to that URL .

How could I do this ?

If this code lives inside an applet, you already have a browser open, no? You can use the showDocuments methods of the AppletContext to either replace the current page with the new one, or open it in a new window.

If you want to start a new browser instance, or a different browser, the applet would need to be signed.
