Our GUI is not applet. But we do use AWT package to create some
images internally for PDFs.

We use following statement to create an Image.

java.awt.Image imgHeader = java.awt.Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit().getImage(new URL("https://localhost:8080/images/logo.gif"));

It works great with HTTP, but does not work with HTTPS. It does not
even throw any exception.

Just shows a blank image.

Any Ideas or alternatives would be appreciated...

Thanks,
Ram

Which version of the JDK does your JVM implement? Old ones do not support HTTPS out of the box.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
