Hello friends,
I have small situation here where I have to develop an applet which would transfer a file which is dragged on it (from some file system) to server side using ftp. I am in a fix how to go about it. One more thing is how would I fire a listener to know which file or from where a a particular file has been dragged over the applet area.

It would be highly appreciable if I get some help.

Thanks
Shashikant

Java has an API for drag-and-drop. You can find some source code to start with here and here.

Be aware that applets can't normally interact with the local file system, so you need to relaz the applet security restrictions as described here.
