How to pass data from an applet to another java file

Hi all,
I have an applet collecting some data through text box ,as the user presses button save & exit ,the data should be passed to another java file
& update the database ,

& a response comes from this java file as "database updated"
the above message should get display to my applet

plz help me fast ,

It will be easier for us to help you if you give us example(s) of code that you've already tried and/or let us know where in the problem you are stuck.

We wouldn't want to make suggestions that are not helpful to the particular problem you've encountered while trying to complete your project.

What do you mean by "another Java file" - another class? Another applet? A servlet on the web server?

U can write the code in the same java file to connect to databse by jdbc/odbc connectivity and write the sql query to execute the update u want to make to the dbase like
update <table_name> set <variable_name>=<value_user_entered>
this syntex may differ according to the variable u r using.
if u want to make separate file for jdbc/odbc connectivity then u can call the constructor of that class when u want 2 update ur dbase.

for proper solution give the detail of code very u stuck up.
