Hi all.
I've this problem:
I need to download a file from the server, SAVE it in the user's PC and then Sign it Digitally. I invite the user to save the file with a name for later use.
The problem is: how can i find the complete path of the file saved with "Save as" dialog?
In other words: Ho can I 'extract' the path where the user has saved the file? (To avoid re-inviting the user to select the file allready saved; for signing it.)
Thank's in avance, Angelo.

You can't. For security purposes no access to the client file system is allowed (unless you resort to something like a signed applet or ActiveX control).

Thank You Bibeault!

But...
I need only the path of the saved file, to pass it to the applet as a parameter. This applet is a signed applet.

Or.. Another way: I need to download the file from the browser and elaborate it with a signed applet. Any idea?
Thanks.

Since you are using applets (which you should have stated off-the-bat) this is best placed in the Applets forum. Moved.
