I've been google searching for "swing applets" and not having much luck.

I wish http://www.iam.ubc.ca/guides/javatut99/uiswing/start/swingApplet.html explained their arguments for the plugs -- I cannot get them to work. Is there a better URL for explaining how to use these activeX controls/plug-ins?

Below is my attempt that does not work.

Thanks,
Siegfried

Look in the docs guide found here and on this page from Part 1.
If you downloaded the documentation (javadocs) you can find this in your documnetation folder, in the guide:
C:\1.5 docs\guide\plugin\developer_guide\using_tags.html
It is generally recommended to use the HTML converter — see guide.
