i have imported one j2ee package in my applet,like

import javax.jms.MessageListener; //some j2ee file

If i am running this applet through eclipse,it is working fine,but if i am running this applet by calling in a html file ,it is throwing exception:

No ClassDefinitionfound error:javax/jms/MessageListener

After this i wrote this thing in my html file :

applet code="appletclassname.class" codebase="path of jar file containing j2ee class" archive="name of jar file containing j2ee class.jar"

Now if i am running this html file,it is giving,

ClassCastException

***Is it possible to import j2ee package in an applet and then running that through html.
Please tell the solution.
Thanks in advance

The codebase parameter should point to a directory where the class/jar files are located, not to a file. Here is more detail on the applet tag options.
