Hi, Yogesh.

I used Kathy and Bill's book as a reference and found it more than ample (90% on my SCJP). Admittedly I have been programming in Java for 6 years now, though.

It's a worthy book irrespective, I'd recommend it. Just do loads of practice exams and you'll be fine.

Hi,

Kathy Seirra book is enough to get a good score in the exam.

But Khalid Mughal is also a good book except for Collections(for this kathy seirra book is enough).

Do all the mock exams in Dan chilosum's study guide and comprehensive tests, tests from the javaranch mock exam list and jiris online tests.

And read the questions posted in javaranch regularly, it really helped me a lot to enhance my score.

I have not done my exam without the above.

SCJP1.4 98%

Here are several links to free mock exams I have:

http://www.jchq.net/mockexams/exam1.htm
http://www.jchq.net/mockexams/exam2.htm
http://www.jchq.net/mockexams/exam3.htm

Skip the GridBagLayout questions, since they are not part of the objectives.

Here's another link.

If you want to spend some money I suggest you buy Whizlabs simulators or Enthuware JQPLUS. But the K & B book must be enough.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
