display message if JRE not found !!!

hello

iam googling for this problem but no useful link

i have an applet and i want to display message like "you don't have JRE or JDK please install them from http://java.sun.com " for the client who doesn't see the applet

how can i do that ?

Welcome to JavaRanch.

You can specify "alternate HTML" in the applet tag, which will be displayed if no JRE is available.
