Diiference b/w Overridng and redefining of static methods

can anyone explain me the difference betwwen overiding and redefining of static methods.

class Base{
static void print(){
System.out.println("Base Class Msg");
}
}
class Child extends Base{
static void print(){
System.out.println("Child Class Msg");
}
}
public class Test{
public static void main(String... args){
Base b1=new Base();  //Base reference-->  Base Object
b1.print();          //print Base Method
Child c1=new Child();//Child reference-->  Child Object
c1.print();     //print Child Method
Base b2=new Child(); //Base reference--> Child Object
b2.print();     //print Base Method
}
}
 

Overiding of static methods is not possible.But you can redefining static method of base class in child class as shown by code above.
