I am a student in Canada. I am planning to take SCJP examination. I dont have prometric testing centre near my place. There is another testing centre called
"Pearson VUE" (http://vue.com/)
Which also list SCJP.

One more thing which confuses me is examination code.
If I log into the "Sun.com" site the latest exam and its code is
Sun Certified Programmer for the Java 2 Platform, Standard Edition 5.0 (CX-310-055)

But on "Pearson VUE" site, the SCJP exam name and code is
Sun Certified Programmer for the Java 2 Platform, Standard Edition 5.0 (212-055)
Is this the latest exam?

Please guide me to take the right exam.
Thanks

The exams are the same, but I understand that the 212-055 means that there is a student discount on the cost of the exam. I see that you are a student, so find out whether you are eligible for the discount. Ask at your college administration, perhaps they can help.

Thanks for link Barry.

If I call their number they are telling me that I have to buy voucher which will cost me CAD 240. After that I have to pay USD 60 to book the exam.
I guess if I book the exam at prometric I just have to pay USD 240.

More over if I call the toll free number nobody is giving me clear information of how to get the SAI coupon or voucher.
