Install a file from server to local machine

Dear Sir,

I want to load and save a file name jTwain.dll inside C:\windows ... i have the file in my server ear file..... how can i check the file whether it is found or not in local drive and if not i want to forcely install the file from my Application.... I use applet in jsp....
please help me

To perform file I/O on the local machine, the applet needs to be signed (see HowCanAnAppletReadFilesOnTheLocalFileSystem). The file in question needs to be accessible to the applet, so it must be in the applet jar, or some other publicly accessible directory on the web server.

Dear Sir,

I have created an applet and i want to change to policy file manually for running the applet... can i run the applet by setting the policy file through code or is there any alternative for that.. please help me...

The policy file can't be changed programmatically; you need to do it manually.

The only other way is to sign it, as that page explains.
